On Wednesday, October 29th at 10pm, Dzieci's Fools are the opening act at the Bowery Poetry Club, in their special pre-halloween show: "Devils, Demons, Clown, and Fool". Irreverent black comedy Halloween ritual by weird and strange performers, guided by the nefarious Zero Boy.

The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine
Artists-in-Residence

Dzieci is honored to be artists-in-residence at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. The group is working at the Cathedral Tuesday-Thursday, September 23-25. The public is invited to work with us, in a workhop-like setting, from 10-11am each morning, and on Thursday 9/25, 3-5pm, there will be a special presentation of our work in development. People are welcome to come and see us work at any time.

Feel free to drop by and observe any time. There is a noon service at the Cathedral each day, so we will be breaking from 12-1pm. Otherwise, we will be there from 10 to 5.


On Sunday Morning, September 21st at 9am, Dzieci and the Interspiritual Dialog are hosting a special event as a welcoming and preparation for the International Day of Peace:

This unique event will include the participation of:

  • Hawaiian Ho'omana leader, Aupuni Iwi'ula

The doors will open at 8:45am. Seating is limited. We will begin and end in silence. Suggested donation, ten dollars. The event will last approxiamtely one hour, at which time participants are invited to join members of Dzieci as we proceed into Central Park to see the Dalai Lama speak.

Dzieci are guests onWFUV's radio program "Fordham Conversations", hosted by John Bly, on WFUV FM 90.7, on Saturday March 22, at 7am. Matt Mitler and Bob Strock discuss our recent work, as well as our plans for our new project, Ragnarok. On the show, the group sings one of our new Nordic songs, as well as a choral piece which will be featured at the Feast of Fools.

Dzieci are guests on the famous public radio program "Soundcheck", hosted by John Schaefer, on WNYC FM 93.9, on Tuesday January 7, at 2pm.

The Dzieci Devils/Fool's Mass demo video will be shown at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater (155 East 3rd Street at Avenue A, NYC) on Sunday October 27th at 2pm, as part of their Short Film Slam.

Also, Dzieci videographer Jason Dubin will be presenting his cartoon pilot "Bad Clown's Ringworm Circus" (featuring the vocal talents of Matt Mitler, Michelle Zilles, Max Faugno, and Bob Strock) at the same location on Sunday October 20, also at 2pm.


Para-Theatrical Workshop: "The Holy Fool"

The Fools are honored to be serving the Communion Service (the entire service, not just the music!) at James Memorial Chapel at the Union Theological Seminary (3041 Broadway at 121st Street) on Thursday September 12th at noon. The doors open 15 minutes prior, and the service will last 30 minutes. Free and open to the public.


The Fools are taking part in the Sixth Annual Broadway Blessing, an interfaith celebration of song and story, which marks the spiritual start of the theatre season.
